Younzee pays particular attention to the protection of personal data. This is an essential condition for the trust-based relationship Younzee wishes to establish with all individuals who provide their personal data.

This Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy (hereinafter the “Policy”) outlines the practices and conditions under which Younzee processes your personal data.

This Policy applies when your data is collected via the Younzee mobile application (hereinafter the “Application”) as well as in the context of any relationship you may have with the Company.

Personal data (hereinafter “Data”) refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An “identifiable natural person” is a person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, notably by reference to an identifier such as a name, identification number, location data, online identifier, or to one or more specific elements of their physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity, as defined by applicable law.

Article 1. Data Collected

Personal data collected via the Younzee mobile application with your consent is processed for the following purposes:

  • User Account: gender, first and last name, email address, password to authenticate on the Application; optionally: mobile phone number to share all or part of your wardrobe with your contacts, date of birth, profile photo, clothing sizes (top and bottom), shoe size, weight, height, body shape, measurements (chest, neck, shoulders, waist, hips, foot width, foot length), fashion preferences, average clothing purchase budget, and number of items in the wardrobe, to provide personalized features on the Application.

  • Virtual Wardrobe: photos of the User’s clothes, shoes, bags, and other accessories (on hangers or on the floor, with no recognizable persons) to catalog your entire wardrobe, suggest daily outfits, and generate new outfits from individual items; likes/dislikes on suggested outfits to refine recommendations.

  • Swipe Feature: User preferences (likes/dislikes) on proposed clothes and their characteristics (color, pattern, brand, cut, shape, material) to provide more relevant recommendations and better personalize the Application.

  • Clothing Purchases: User preferences on favorited or purchased items and their characteristics (color, pattern, brand, cut, shape, material) to improve the recommendation algorithm of the swipe feature.

  • Fashion Assistant: any information shared during interactions with the fashion assistant to allow it to adapt its service to the User.

  • Geolocation Access: the User may be geolocated via GPS if desired (otherwise, this information is purely declarative; in the absence of information, an approximation is made via IP address) to access weather data for the User’s location and suggest daily outfits appropriate to the climate.

Article 2. Methods of Data Collection

Depending on your interaction with the Application, Younzee may collect your Data as follows:

  • Directly from you when you fill out a registration form or contact the Company (e.g., by email).

  • Indirectly when you navigate the Application.

  • You are responsible for ensuring that the Data you provide to Younzee is accurate and complete and must update it if necessary.

  • Data indicated as mandatory is necessary for processing your request and for providing the Application services. Mandatory vs. optional fields and the consequences of not providing data are indicated on the forms.

Article 3. Purpose of Data Collection

Your Data is subject to automated processing by Younzee for the purposes outlined in Article 1.

Younzee may also use data collected with User consent for testing, research, analysis, and product development. This helps enhance service security and develop new features and products.

With your consent, Younzee may send you news and commercial or editorial information via any channel.

With your consent where required, your Data may also be processed to:

  1. Analyze your preferences and habits.

  2. Generate statistics.

  3. Improve your experience and interaction with the Application.

Article 4. Data Recipients

Your Data is processed by Younzee’s internal teams. Only service providers and their personnel specifically authorized for the tasks assigned to them are permitted to access your Data, strictly respecting security and confidentiality obligations.

Younzee does not sell or share your Data with third parties for direct marketing purposes.

When required by law, the Company may transfer your Data to legally authorized bodies and authorities (e.g., judicial or administrative authorities).

Article 5. Data Protection

To ensure confidentiality and security, and to protect your Data against unlawful or accidental destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure, or unauthorized access, Younzee implements appropriate technical and organizational measures.

These include technical measures (firewalls) and organizational measures (ID/password systems, physical protection, etc.).

Younzee takes all reasonable precautions to ensure Data is not distorted, damaged, disclosed, or accessed by unauthorized third parties.

Article 6. User Rights

In accordance with applicable law, you can exercise the following rights at any time:

  • Right of access: request information about the processing of your Data.

  • Right of rectification: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete Data.

  • Right to erasure: request deletion of your Data when legally justified (e.g., withdrawal of consent, Data no longer necessary).

  • Right to object: object to processing, including for marketing purposes.

  • Right to data portability: receive your Data in a usable format.

  • Right to restriction: request suspension of Data processing when legally justified (e.g., dispute over accuracy).

If Data is processed based on your consent, you can withdraw consent at any time.

You can exercise these rights:

To ensure confidentiality, Younzee must verify your identity. You must provide a copy of an ID showing your date and place of birth and bearing your signature.

Article 7. Data Retention

Younzee retains your Data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. Beyond that, Data may be archived to meet legal obligations or deleted. Data used for commercial prospecting may be retained for up to four (4) years.

Data used to establish proof of rights or obligations, or retained to comply with legal obligations, is archived according to applicable law.

Article 8. Data Transfer

For hosting and processing, Younzee uses systems located within the European Union.

Article 9. Changes to the Privacy Policy

Any modification of this Policy by Younzee will be updated in the Application.

Users are encouraged to review the Policy regularly to stay informed of updates.

If any clause of this Policy is deemed invalid or contrary to the law, it will be considered void without affecting the validity of other clauses.
